Mobile Photog.

I don’t know about all of you out there, but I, for one, snap away on my camera phone like nobody’s business. I’m constantly thinking things are interesting and wanting a quick capture so I play the camera phone game. Haha Here are some random fun shots from my super cool LG Cosmos:

Being able to photograph on the go with a decent camera is important to me and I love playing with them on picnik.

By the way, here’s a fun photobooth application online that I’m in desperate love with! So much fun*fun.

P.S. Look for me here on Allie's blog today because I was a guest blogger yesterday! SO much fun to chip in on Allie's blog from time to time. I should have HER guest blog over here sometime soon. Yes? yes.

drinking pink lemonade

I think I'm coming out my hibernation mode now. FINALLY! I'm feeling ready to make things again haha. I went through a tricky week/s where i just wanted to browse around and look at other things and buy stuff on etsy, but I'm moving past that and starting to create! I've really been in the mood to sew, so i have been. :]

I've been making a few new things for my etsy shop actually that I'm pretty excited about. Sewn things. I've made some homemade journals with cases and I have a scarf brainchild that I'm getting started on too! I'm thinking some plushies might be in order as well. We'll see!

Just keep checking back at the Craftcake Designs shop for more jewelry, sewing, and paper updates! I'm thinking tonight or tomorrow. WOO HOO!

I'm kind of getting bummed because I'm expecting a bunch of things in the mail... like 5 things... and none of them have come in like...2 weeks. BAH. I'm expecting:
*my mermaid journal from etsy
*crafty olympics shtuff
*scrapstars kit
*pumpkin face scrubbies
*acorns from my aunt
WHERE ARE YOU MAIL???

One thing I've been meaning to share is my new "AUTUMN 2008" playlist that i created on iTunes. Mmmmm. I love fall sounds. What DON'T i love about autumn though? I picked some very mellow and soothing, yet slightly upbeat songs. good stuff.

Also, i never finished my week in a life. I feel like a quitter about it, but i just had a really busy week and nothing was going on to photograph aside from homework and mealtimes. haha. But here are a few photos from throughout the week that i thought I would share:

So pretty: :]

ANNNNNND big surprise, but i went thrifting on Friday. It started out as just a shopping trip. I got a few cute things:
This adorable argyle cardigan
These ballet flats
This tunic henley in green
And i WANTthese moccasins

but i also grabbed a few small deals at Goodwill too. I'm going through a pretty serious phase where everything i own has to look old or handmade. Its just...more characteristic and unique. And I'm all about unique.
I got a totally vintage overnight suitcase. The pattern caught my eye in the store and then i realized it was only $3!!! I tried to find it online somewhere, but i couldn't find it. I'm kind of unsure of the actual brand but who knows. It rocks all on its own.

Also... a 50 cent owl trivet! I think its pewter? Not sure what i'll use it for, but something awesome I'm sure. :] I feel so accomplished when i find good deals.

Some current faves right now are:
*i found this at Wish Jar and i loved it. I felt like it explained my life.

*The new LOVELY pics of Amy Tan. they are glorious and carefree and true to life for sure.

*cameos and more cameos
*Twitter. It's just one of those addicting things you can't escape.
*pink lemonade and club crackers. Yeah.
*Red Velvet Art. Although I've always been obsessed with them, they've been major inspiration this week.

*side note*
What excuse me what?:
My guest designer pic is up at Scrapstars??? Holla!

I feel better now that I've blogged. Its like...crafty catharsis. Mmmm.

Next, some awesome things I've found on the World Wide Web as of late,
I found this lovely beyond LOVELY scrapping room here at Splitcoaststampers.com. My aunt is constantly showing me things on here and I just love it. :] This particular part of the site is "Stampin' Spaces." But seriously...LOOK at this! Vintage jewelry boxes, ring trays, omg YUM.

This is a wedding cake that i found on a flickr site, and I actually feel bad because i can't remember where I found it. If you're reading this site, and its from YOUR flickr, please let me know! :] But i WANT THIS CAKE. Must. have. cake. at. wedding.

I feel like I'm skipping around so much, but oh well. haha. This next section is entitled WHAT EXCUSE ME WHAT?

Yup. That's my layout featured on Scrapstars! I'm still waiting on the prompt to be published so i can show my new LO, but still awesome. I'm so psyched about it. :]]]

Here's a few things that i made for some friends:
Rachel's:

Greg's:

and now.... drumroll please...
My Goodies from ELSIE!!!! Eeeeekkk!
Behold::: Tiger Lily Girl Print!

Aren't they GLORIOUS??? And like, i was SO EXCITED to receive one of her little Apple Prints along with it!

So that's my massive post. And i loved it. love love loved it.

This Weekend is Going WAAAAY too fast.

Happy Weekend! Couch and laptop, where have you been all my life?
I got to make a few layouts today at work for Paper:08 catch-up mode. haha It turned out to be very very tricky to my surprise because i was at work without:
*my paper trimmer
*ink
*date stamp
(3 very important staples in my scrapping routine)

Operation 34
This one was called "To Do"which...is pretty self explanitory.

[Paper Studio paper, My Mind's Eye paper, black cardstock, Colorbök stickers, random paper scraps, felt heart, magazine cut-out, Toast catalog order form, staples, thrifted lace, ribbonFX ribbon, Creative Memories journaling pen, black ink, date stamp, scallop edge scissors]

Operation 35
"Start!" I took this a different way than most people, but i like the quote route i took. :]

The text reads (and i will tell you this because there's a stupid glare that i couldn't get rid of):
"Start by doing what's necessary, then what's possible, and suddenly you are doing the impossible."
[Toast catalog page, random paper scraps, Creative Memories Beach Mats, Creative Memories journaling pen, black ink, Paper Studio weathered letter stamps, Color bök stickers, date stamp]

I'm getting there! Only...2 more prompts to go!...until Tuesday morning comes and then it will be 3 again. haha.

Now, I feel bad posting this, because i wanted it to be a surprise...but i just can't keep this because its too cute!
This, my dear readers, is what I have made for my best friend! Its a hanging frame made out of a discarded Polaroid film tray. I just love it. I even made my own wood grain background! I love everything about it and I think she's going to love it too! So, Kade, if you're out there, get freakin excited because this is coming to your dorm room soon!!!!!

In other news, i went thrifting again. I know...haha *sigh* i didn't find that much, but i DID snatch up this camera that i drooled over. Its old and weird and broken i think, but it just looks so darn amazing. :]

Also, i got to see the inside of the art building darkrooms and it was like a palace! Compared to the tech darkrooms it was seriously immaculate. Cleanliness is close to godliness. haha. But the cooler thing was that in the little annex to the darkroom and developing room was a HUGE inspiration wall that completely inspired me. omg there were so many fun things on that wall and i wanted to put a huge piece of clear contact paper over the whole thing and bring it all home with me to look at everyday.

Let's see....what else do i have?
OH YEAH!
I won the Scrapstars August challenge and they asked me to Guest Deisign!!!

I'm like totally pumped and amazingly ready for this! Wooooo! I feel so excited both that i won and that i get to Guest Design!

I'm trying SO hard to get my etsy for Craftcake Designs up and running too, but i'm waiting to get my Debit card back and its just NOT happening! haha. I predict another week or 2....i hope.

Great things happening lately people! :]
