all of my days

Oh my. My workout yesterday KILLED me. I suppose that's a good thing because I'm nice and worn out and I know that I got in a good workout. :)

Yesterday was really a lot of getting specific chores done that I've been putting off, listening to pretty musics, and just enjoying the almost-there weather. (It's getting warmer!) I put together a March playlist. Check it out:

I love pretty music. I wish I knew someone that had some She&Him music that I could steal to see if I love it. I'm sure I would. :)

Side Note: I have sent out the email for the swap partners! If there's anyone who signed up for the scrap swap and hasn't heard from me, PLEASE comment and let me know! I know there are a few people who have not heard back from their partners yet!

One last thing, if all of my readers could head on over to Allie's blog and leave her some love, that would be so sweet. She's had an awful day, so any words of encouragement for her would be so so sweet. :)

This was very random. haha But sometimes random is JUST the ticket.

luke*warm

feeling productive and warm today. Not a whole lot going on actually. I need to try and power through my Spanish assignment, but I thought I would give you some warm thoughts and images first! I'm sitting here at work (the front desk in my building) listening to a lovely indie mix I made (which I might post for you guys soon. any good playlist webapps?). Currently the Flaming Lips. I'm hoping someone will come give me a break so I can get some hot chocolate and a sandwich from dining.

This one reminds me of a life-size dollhouse:

I've also been liking loving this band lately:

alright, off to tackle the next thing on my lazy sunday list.

Rewind

As promised! Back with more goodness. let's play this weekend over again. I think the weather is just putting me in the right mood to share. :]
This past weekend was a whirlwind, basically because it was WAY too short, but partly because I had so much to do! Cleaning, crafting, friends, parties, homework, other chores.... the list goes on and on.

Saturday started with thrifting! Here's the loot from my wonderful thriftiness:

pictured: fabric, pretty yarns, vintage luggage shoulder bag, porcelain unicorn, vintage needlepoint owl/squirrel, patterned plate, cuuuute owl, Navy blue vintage purse, vintage pocket watch pendant, cameo cocktail ring, vintage kitchen labels, Polaroid, awesome old ribbon. Not pictured: cardigans and skirts.
Probably my favorite find from the day was the vintage Lucerne pocket watch pendant. omg I love that thing! It doesn't even work, but...i love it. It gives me a very Alice in Wonderland feel ("I'm late! I'm late!") or a Wizard of Oz feel (The tin man's heart). Love it. But I'm also in love with the new vintage luggage shoulder bag and the unicorn. <3

Then I crafted with THIS WONDERFUL GIRL!

We didn't get a WHOLE lot done, but I was glad for some art time with a good friend. She's taking Elsie's Autumn is Love online class right now tooo!

Then a party at Tor's house, Burger King with Boyfriend Bear and rented movies.
Today I woke up (after sleeping in) ready to get things done. Things like cleaning my ridiculous excuse for a room. I decided to show you what my lovely friend Bekah sent me: HAPPY MAIL! Oh how I love happy mail, both send and receiving! She is WAY too sweet!

Here are some goofy photos I took with my new headband and sunglasses:

Annnnnd I've been listening to my Autumn Playlist today. It's been magical.

All the while, I've been working on getting my Planner Kit from RVA done too. it's surprisingly a lot of work! Here's some peeks at the work in progress even though I have a long way to go:

I cut out and hole punched all the supplies given in the kit and then I drew and scanned some weekly pages for the planner as well. :] I left some blank pages in the back for drawing. The best part has been adding little fun pages to it. Some different extras I'm going to include are a music wishlist page, pockets and envelopes for inspiration, a place for colored pencils, and some goals pages. I'll keep you posted!

This weekend after helping a friend learn to knit, i REALLY got in the mood to create some knitted goodness. I think I'm going to start on a line of coffee sleeves for the etsy shop.... and for MYSELF! haha I need something cute to put around my hot chocolate, yes? I've been browsing etsy for inspiration and it delivered as usual!

Creds:
1. Good Morning
2. Java Monkey
3. Limeade
4. Dandy Delight-Cranberry
5. Chartreuse and Hearts
6. Swimming Seahorses
7. Eco Friendly Blondie
8. Robot Coffee
9. Wildwood Forest
10. Wood
11. Suki
12. recycled sweater

please check out some of these shops! They're all fantastic and reasonably priced! Get into fall mode. :]

And last but not least, a HUUUUUGE birthday shout out to my dear BEKAH! It's her B-day and I want her to know how much I heart her! <3333333

So have a good start to your week! Make it fantastic!
and I hope all of your boyfriends are cutting your PB&J into hearts too like mine does. :]

drinking pink lemonade

I think I'm coming out my hibernation mode now. FINALLY! I'm feeling ready to make things again haha. I went through a tricky week/s where i just wanted to browse around and look at other things and buy stuff on etsy, but I'm moving past that and starting to create! I've really been in the mood to sew, so i have been. :]

I've been making a few new things for my etsy shop actually that I'm pretty excited about. Sewn things. I've made some homemade journals with cases and I have a scarf brainchild that I'm getting started on too! I'm thinking some plushies might be in order as well. We'll see!

Just keep checking back at the Craftcake Designs shop for more jewelry, sewing, and paper updates! I'm thinking tonight or tomorrow. WOO HOO!

I'm kind of getting bummed because I'm expecting a bunch of things in the mail... like 5 things... and none of them have come in like...2 weeks. BAH. I'm expecting:
*my mermaid journal from etsy
*crafty olympics shtuff
*scrapstars kit
*pumpkin face scrubbies
*acorns from my aunt
WHERE ARE YOU MAIL???

One thing I've been meaning to share is my new "AUTUMN 2008" playlist that i created on iTunes. Mmmmm. I love fall sounds. What DON'T i love about autumn though? I picked some very mellow and soothing, yet slightly upbeat songs. good stuff.

Also, i never finished my week in a life. I feel like a quitter about it, but i just had a really busy week and nothing was going on to photograph aside from homework and mealtimes. haha. But here are a few photos from throughout the week that i thought I would share:

So pretty: :]

ANNNNNND big surprise, but i went thrifting on Friday. It started out as just a shopping trip. I got a few cute things:
This adorable argyle cardigan
These ballet flats
This tunic henley in green
And i WANTthese moccasins

but i also grabbed a few small deals at Goodwill too. I'm going through a pretty serious phase where everything i own has to look old or handmade. Its just...more characteristic and unique. And I'm all about unique.
I got a totally vintage overnight suitcase. The pattern caught my eye in the store and then i realized it was only $3!!! I tried to find it online somewhere, but i couldn't find it. I'm kind of unsure of the actual brand but who knows. It rocks all on its own.

Also... a 50 cent owl trivet! I think its pewter? Not sure what i'll use it for, but something awesome I'm sure. :] I feel so accomplished when i find good deals.

Some current faves right now are:
*i found this at Wish Jar and i loved it. I felt like it explained my life.

*The new LOVELY pics of Amy Tan. they are glorious and carefree and true to life for sure.

*cameos and more cameos
*Twitter. It's just one of those addicting things you can't escape.
*pink lemonade and club crackers. Yeah.
*Red Velvet Art. Although I've always been obsessed with them, they've been major inspiration this week.

*side note*
What excuse me what?:
My guest designer pic is up at Scrapstars??? Holla!

I feel better now that I've blogged. Its like...crafty catharsis. Mmmm.
