Project Life: Week 12

Week 12 happening. Slowly but surely I get caught up one week at a time. haha
As I said in my Instagram preview, this layout was brought to you by quick decisions. I really just placed the photos, chose the paper, and stuck on whatever embellishments spoke to me.
One thing I realize as I've looked back on this layout is that I didn't put the days of the week on any of these pockets. haha Well I guess that whoever is reading this album is just going to have to do their research and pull out a 2013 calendar to figure out the days of the week. Lol
I've been holding on to these SIS die cuts for YEARS. Truly. Feels good to put them to use.

Contents of Week 12: Seafoam Core Kit. Paper: Amy Tangerine Ready Set Go (On the Clock), DCWV (Playtime pad), Studio Calico (Darling Dear pad), My Mind's Eye Lime Twist (Happy Go Lucky "Hello"), kraft. Stickers: American Crafts Remarks (JFK), Love Elsie epoxy stickers (Riley), Sticko mini alphas (silver). Embellishments: American Crafts Mini Marks rub-ons (Rock Star), Recollections bright pink washi, SIS die cuts, Recollections flair badge, Me & My Big Ideas Pocket Page card, Echo Park Memos card, Recollections wood veneer sentiment, Bella Blvd. washi (Punch Chevron). Found Objects: Wal-Mart paint chip, old planner cover, ticket stub, image from flyer, "D" gift tag.

How are your albums going? Please someone tell me that I'm not the only one that is never up to date on this thing! haha

Project Life: Weeks 10 & 11

I'm going to write a song called "Project Life is never caught up." Because we all know the best songs are the ones that are written from experience. And BOY do I have experience catching up on PL. It's never-ending, I tell you! These 2 layouts are ones that I did quite awhile ago admidst my blogging funk, so they never made it to the blog, but I still get half credit because late is better than not at all. I know this.

Week 10:
For some reason this layout is one of my favorites so far in this album. I think it's because it came together so effortlessly and so colorfully. Not to mention I'm obsessed with that feather to put it lightly. :)

That cough drop wrapper was an impulse. I was sick that week and after I added the Thickers, I needed a little something extra and realized a wrapper to my favorite type of cough drops would be perfect.

Contents of Week 10: Seafoam Core Kit. Paper: Scenic Route, Love Elsie (Toby), Amy Tangerine Ready, Set, Go (Lounge Fest), Crate Paper (Storyteller pad), Me & My Big Ideas (MAMBI Sheets), turquoise and tangerine cardstock. Stickers: Echo Park (This & That), Horizon mustache labels, American Crafts Thickers (Boardwalk). Embellishments: Dear Lizzy flair badge, paper clip, Smash polka dot washi, mT gold stripe washi (Happy Tape), Queen & Co. black chevron washi. Found Objects: notebook paper, old planner page, FCS gift card, feather, Halls cough drop wrapper. Etc: Uni-Ball Signo (black), Instagrams.

Week 11:
March 10-16 was mostly errands, misc crafts, and a baby shower on Saturday but lots of random Instagrams and some choice wrapping paper filled it out quite nicely. Note to self: Need more pics of Ian in this album!
I love that pocket in the top left corner-- the color palette is my favie! Btw... I'm sad that my Hambly kraft labels are almost gone and I won't be able to replace them! I cutting them in half trying to stetch out their lifespan! haha

Contents of Week 11: Seafoam Core Kit. Clementine Core Kit. Paper: Amy Tangerine Ready Set Go (On the Clock), Studio Calico (Darling Dear paper pad), SEI Girlfriends (Jocelyn), Crate Paper (Storyteller pad), turquoise cardstock. Stickers: Hambly kraft cardstock labels, American Crafts Thickers (Hardcover), Making Memories label (5th Ave), Target foil spot alphas. Embellishments: Studio G epoxy brads, Target washi, mT peach washi, Smash sentiment washi, Paper Studio vintage icon clip. Found Objects: BBW candle label, wallpaper shop business card, kraft star wrapping paper. Stamps & Ink: Smash date stamp, Paper Studio circle stamp, JoAnn's clear stamp set (Lovestruck), Staz-On Ink (Jet Black). Etc: Uni-Ball Signo pen (black), Instagrams.

Yes my friends-- those layouts are being posted 10 weeks late! YAY! lol
Back atcha soon!
<3 E P.S. To all you cuties that commented on my last post, I want to thank you for all the support! I guess every blogger goes through an eventual burnout and it's good to know that I'm not alone! You are all SO supportive and the absolute best!

Project Life: Week 9

Still catchin' up. I'm finding kind of nice to just do a marathon session getting a bunch of weeks done at once. Is it nice to be caught up? yes. But catch-up is OK too. Week 9 comin' at ya.
Only 2 photos on this side, but it's nice having a lot of room for journaling. I kind of have some stand-by ideas for filler pockets too. Just things I have in mind that I can use to fill a space when needed. Wasn't really necessary with this one, but it's been known to happen.
Contents of Page 1: Seafoam Core Kit. Paper: kraft, random cardstock, Me & My Big Ideas (MAMBI Sheets pad), vellum paper, paper ticket stubs (unknown!), glitter canvas, Love Elsie rubber charm (Riley), Instagrams, box tops from Girl Scout cookie boxes, Smash date stamp, Staz-On ink (Jet Black), Studio Calico journal card, Jo-Ann's clear camera stamp, Smash washi, perfume box, snippet from tanning brochure, staples, MedCheck card, Sharpie pen, & Uni Ball Signo pen (white).

Page numero dos of this spread! We bridge over into March!
Contents of Page 2: Seafoam Core Kit. Paper:October Afternoon paper, Basic Grey "Life of the Party" paper, K&Co. journaling tag (Sea Glass), mT washi tape (Happy Tape), Target washi tape, random paper bits, Red Door Vintage clothing tag, staples, print out of new phone, American Crafts Thickers (Rootbeer Float and Maple), Chic Tags die cut ("Hello" month), Doodlebug Inc. 3-D sticker, Instagram, Sharpie pen, & Uni Ball Signo pen (white).

I've really been relying on Pinterest to give me outstanding ideas for my album and my little PL pinboard has grown exponentially this month. I love soaking up new ideas and getting inspired. I really want to do a post about my supply organization method too. I hope to accomplish that sometime in the near future! I have Weeks 11 and 12 already done and ready to share, so that will happen! Thank you for your patience with my absence on the blog. I really truly want to get it revved up again, I've just been lacking inspiration as of late. It WILL happen, though!

Love you to you all!

Project Life: Week 7

Hey peoples! Let's not talk about why I haven't blogged in a month, OK? It's been hectic and there just hasn't been TIME! I have been riddled with anticipation to share some Project Life layouts on here though. So I'm going to do some quasi-catching up!

When I don't have time to do a PL layout, I don't. It's that simple. My whole outlook on this project is keeping it simple. So here is one that I did a few weeks after Week 1.

I'm quite pleased with this one. Lovin' the brights. This was the first layout for which I had my Seafoam kit, so it was quite exciting to do! The kit itself is just so inspiring.

I've been saving my Heidi Swapp stars for a special occasion, and I love the idea of putting special products in my PL album. Gives it extra flair!

Contents of Page 1:
Seafoam Core Kit, American Crafts paper, kraft, Studio Calico Darling Dear paper, American Crafts Thickers in Eclair & Boardwalk, Heidi Swapp clear acrylic star, random paper bits, Instagram, mt washi tape, Dayspring Valentine card, Smash stamp, Marc Fisher tag from new purse, staples, printouts, chevron stamp roller, studio g "HI" stamp, cover from old planner, Sharpie pen, & Staz-On ink in black.

I put the Valentine cards that Ian & I got each other back in their envelopes and used one of the Sn@p sleeve protectors to make an insert. I slapped a piece of washi tape over the top to keep them from sliding out.

Contents of Page 2:
Seafoam Core Kit, Sn@p mini bingo card, studio g flair buttons, Basic Grey 6x6 paper pad Life of the Party, Instagrams, printouts, studio g XOXO stamp, Staz-On ink in black, Staz-On ink in metallic gold, vintage press number stamps, Colorbök chipboard heart, kraft, Paper Studio silver glitter paper, American Crafts Thickers in Darling, mt washi tape, & Sharpie pen

Back with another week soon!

Project Life: Week 1

Week 1 in the hiz-ouse! I really enjoyed making this one happen. Lots of pretty colors and fun inspiration to start off the year.

Still waiting on the Seafoam kit to arrive at my house, so using some leftover stuffs from Clementine to appease me. You can see my sequins shining through from the title page-- love that. Documented the weather, a Shutterfly order I placed, and my New Year's Goals.

Contents of Page 1:
Sassafrass Lass paper, Studio Calico Abroad Collection paper, kraft, Clementine Core Kit, digital download card from Persnickety Prints, Hello month dye cut from Chic Tags, glitter canvas, pieces from Shutterfly proofs, Remarks block sticker letters, circle letter stickers from Target, cloud cut out from Cricut Going Places cartridge, random cardstock, Instagram, craft sequins, Sharpie pen, & Uni Ball Signo pen white.

I punched holes in our 2013 card we mailed out to friends and family to include it in the album too. (from Shutterfly by the way)

On this side I included a fabric scrap from a sewing project I did last week, plus one of the personalized stationary cards I ordered. That sewology card is the packaging from supplies from that project too!

Project Life 2013 Begins!

Project Life 2013 is here! Huzzah! I have my "cover page" of sorts made and I wanted to share it before the actual weekly layouts start!
But first a preface: I'm going to be using the Seafoam Kit when it's released, but I've started anyway using remaining Clementine Kit elements and other bits and bobs. The album I chose is by Amy Tangerine. I love the camera print for obvious reasons and thought it would go nicely with the kit I chose! So without further ado, the beginning of PL 2013:
I wanted it to be bold and simple. Mission accomplished!
Recent photo of us that I'm in love with made it to the top left pocket. How cute is my husband? ;)
I wrote out a little manifesto for the year and printed it on kraft. Easy peasy.
Oh! and I threw in some sequins and sewed a pocket shut. LOVE SHINY THINGS. And I thought shiny was appropriate for a shiny new year!

Paper Studio glitter paper, kraft, Studio Calico Abroad Collection striped paper, Clementine Core kit journal card, Target star gift tag, printouts, photo, craft sequins, & Jillibean Soup wood flags

Here's to a new year and documenting the crap out of my life. :)

2012 Project Life Wrap up

Well my friends, I didn't completely finish my album for 2012. Honestly my life got out of control during the holiday season as it tends to do when you work retail. There just wasn't time. And that's ok. As Becky Higgins has said: "Project Life does not= Project 365. That always comforts me about this project... the fact that it's supposed to be snapshots of your life, not necessarily an EVERY SINGLE DAY obligatory project. So I give you my last 4 weeks of layouts that I finished for 2012.

Week of October 7-13
Let's just say working on these catch-up pages I was getting lazy. This one especially. A lot more happened this particular week than what shows on the layout, but I just didn't have it in me to create a 2 page spread. Nevertheless, I like the individual elements here.
I got a 6x6 Studio Calico scrap pad that I started using which I love. Plus the Fall theme K&Co. dye cuts came in handy on this page. I decided to journal around that leaf for something different and to create an outline.
For memorabilia, I included our voter registration cards and the story behind my trip to the BMV.

Contents: We R Memory Keepers journal tag, Studio Calico 6x6 scrap pad from the Darling Dear line, American Crafts Thickers, K&Co. fall dye cuts, glitter canvas, kraft, Instagrams, Sharpie pen & voter reg cards

Week of October 21-27
This week has one focus: pictures from the Halloween party we hosted. But I had made an insert the previous week of all the books I'd read that year. I got the idea from Janel on her blog, and I thought it was perfect! On the back of the insert, I put pics of everyone's costumes from the party.
I stuck in one of the invites we sent out to our guests. Too big to fit in a pocket, so hole punch it is!
I had lots of Halloween papers and embellishments picked out already, so I knew I wanted that color scheme. (Different from every other week I've done.) The Mike's Hard package was a must too. ;)

Contents: Clementine Core Kit journal cards, old Mod Sheets paper from SIS, American Crafts Thickers, Queen&Co. washi tape, Paper Studio letter stamps, Staz-On ink in black, K&Co. journal tag pad, the Smash stamp, photos, cupcake flag from the party, party invite, beer packaging, Sharpie pen, & Uni Ball Signo in white

Week of November 4-10
Election Week! This week had to have a patriotic color scheme for obvious reasons. I have one square blurred out with some personal info, but I used a folded journal card for the writing.

Love those star stick pins I grabbed at Archiver's!
That's the Leslie Knope election sticker I got with our Parks & Rec Season 4 DVDs. We watched the election episodes all week.
I took a screen cap of the final results from the Huffington Post election page. I thought it gave a good snapshot of the whole race. SO glad I thought to do that. Plus I downloaded that little ballot image from somewhere online. I tweeted about it, but I forget where! :/

Contents: Clementine Core Kit journal cards, American Crafts Thickers, Martha Stewart craft banner, office supply foil stars, star stick pins from Little Yellow Bicycle, kraft, Colorbök starburst clear stamp, Staz-On ink in black, various washi tapes, K&Co. fabric button brads, photos & Instagrams, screenshots, downloaded novelty ballot, Leslie Knope campaign sticker, "I voted" sticker from the polls, Sharpie pen, & Uni Ball Signo in white,

Week of November11-17
Cutesy, cutesy for this layout. We had our first snow of the season, so I threw in some snowflake stickers that I had been saving. Plus the craft fair was this week, so the rest is centered around that.
of course I added one of our business cards and made a little bow out of tissue from our booth.

On the other side of the rings, I added an altered sheet protector with all of our birthday cards given to us from the year. Just because.

Contents: Clementine Core Kit journal cards and stickers, Paper Studio glitter letters, Cosmo Cricket chipboard letter stickers, DCWV matte stack papers, various Crate Paper brand papers, business card, decorative brads, photos & Instagrams, Paper Studio gemstones & Sharpie pen

So that's that. And with that, I close the book on 2012. Moving on to better and more exciting things! Sorry for being so windy with the words, but I wanted to get it all out there and do it justice. Stay tuned for the start of PL 2013!
