new art and giveaway!

Hello all! Hope your Monday went well yesterday! I first wanted to thank everyone for all of the wonderful words of encouragement and prayers regarding my colon complications! I went to my follow up appointment today and my Dr. had only good things to say about my progress! I was so pleased to hear that I'm doing everything right! :]

As for crafting world, here's a tote bag I embellished for a belated project from the Elsie*cake class! She gave us lots of great inspiration and this is what I cam out with in the wee hours of the morning yesterday. love love LOVE the way it turned out.

(canvas tote bag, felt, vintage buttons, embroidery floss, Queen & Co. felt border flower, fuzzy yarn, ribbon)

Here's a photo of my brand spankin new necklace I got from etsy today! It came in the mail this morning and I was SOOOO excited! I love it even more in person than i did in the picture! Isn't the unicorn special? And it dangles from an oversized vintage button! I got it here.

A little art journaling does the body AND soul good. I was so glad to have a few spare minutes tonight to put together a layout. FINALLY!

(K & Company Urban Rhapsody paper, catalog page borders, Kraft, vintage page from cookbook, Hambly clear overlay, letter stickers, Sharpie fine tip, colored pencil, gesso, ink, date stamp, random paper scraps, staples)

Alrighty. Now here's the awesomeness to go along with the awesomeness of today: time for a small giveaway! I've had an overwhelming response to my jelly baby sketch from my sketchbook so i have decided to do a teeny tiny RAK involving an original sketch of Jeffrey the Jelly. For all of you who love that little silly jellyfish, here's your chance to win an original sketch!

This giveaway will be for an original colored 5x7" sketch of the Jelly Baby and your name! The sketch will be on thick sketch paper and shipped in an envelope to your house!
To be considered for the giveaway:
1. leave a comment in the comments section telling what you'd most like to see on this blog or in my etsy shop. This can be ANYTHING at all that you'd like to read about or see in the Craftcake Designs store.
2. Also leave your name
3. Comment-posting will end at noon on Wednesday February 4, 2009.
4. Winner will be randomly selected and posted short after.
5. winner can email me with their address and the name they want on the original sketch.

***note: the above photo is not the sketch you will receive. The one for the giveaway will be much cooler. :]

I want to get more readers, spread the inspiration, and cater to what each person would enjoy! :] Can't wait to hear all of your awesome input! Hope all is well in all parts of the world! <3
