You asked for it!

Sketchy sketch sketch. Popping in to post some scans of my drawing book. I had a lot of requests to see more pages from it, so here are a few!

I love summer because I have a lot of extra time to dream up new ideas for my blog, my shop, and my photog business. You better believe they all end up in this little book too! Hope you enjoyed this peek into the pages!

Day 6: Travel Journal

Before I left for vacation, I had some time to throw together a little travel journal for the trip.
I wanted to make a mixed paper journal, but there wasn't time. So! I'm a crafter by golly! was able to snag a good-sized spiral bound sketchbook and I went to work on the cover! Covered it in some of my favorite paper, reinforced it with chipboard, and painted it! I didn't bring hardly ANY craft supplies on the trip, so I'm really just using found paper and a few key supplies to create the journal. The key items are glue stick, colored pencils, Thickers, washi tape, Project life journaling cards, & the Travel Smash Pad.
After the trip I'm going to make a real scrapbook, but this was a nice art project while on the trip. Also, I think I'm going to continue it as an... event journal? I'm not exactly sure yet but we shall see! Happy to share peeks into my journal and I'll be posting some inspiration images for making your OWN travel journal soon! <3 E

Project Doodle!

Hi pretty people! Broadcasting from back in my little town in Indiana. Although it’s wonderful to be back in my own little house with my kitty and all my craft supplies, I know next week I’ll want to go back to the island. It was SO fantastic to just be able to trek around the island seeing all the pretty candy color beach houses and eat at the local cafes and not have to go to work! We had so many delicious ice cream cones from hometown places in Anna Maria and Sarasota too!

So to kick off me being back on Hoosier soil, I’m going to tell you all about something awesome happening around the blogosphere! Allie from Alexandra Rae Design is holding a FREE class on bring out your inner doodles!

I happen to be a contributor of this project and I’m going to be so proud posting my doodle pages in the flickr group every day! You can all participate for FREE! The project is called 30 Days of Doodles and for a month, Allie will be offering prompts to get your creative brain working overtime and get your journal nice and full. You should totally head over to the blog and see what it’s all about. I want to see everyone trying their hand at doing something creative every day in June! Did I mention it’s FREE!? Because it is. ☺ (And by the way, Janel has a similar project going on as well! Why not try both?)

I hope you can join in on the doodly fun! It’s totally worth it!

Tribe*Vibe

I have caught the tribal bug. I'm seriously in love with the African fashion trend for this summer. Inspiring, colorful, and flattering, I just want to be bold and wear all the tribal duds I can get my hands on. I really want a tribal print maxi dress... maybe in IKat or something. *wonderfulness* Here's some pretty tribal fashion inspiration:

1 2 3 4 5 6

Here's a page from my personal sketchbook that I made awhile back. During our fashion conference call at work, we were talking all about the tribal line and it inspired me to create this page!

Well, time to log out for the night I think. Long day of work tomorrow (that I'm not really looking forward to!). Hope you all are well!

Good Bye to a Creative Friend

Last month I finished my old Molskine, Drawing Book No. 4, and I just didn't get around to blogging about it! It was a long hike through that book and I'm proud that I filled it up completely with all my ridiculous ideas! :)

Check out all the pages here.

So on the shelf it goes with all of my other 2,001 journals and it makes a LOVELY addition to my finished private collection. :) Now you can say hello to the pretty Drawing Book No. 5!

Pages Upon Pages

I'm here with yet again another set of sketch pages! I hope that when I post these, I'm inspiring someone else to start their own drawing book and that they can start living creatively as I do every day! These are just from the last few weeks. I'm hoping to finish this drawing book I'm on by the end of the year!

I'm very excited about my drawing book in the coming weeks because for my birthday, I ordered a BIG box of japanese solid color washi tapes!

I can't wait to get them in the mail and start covering everything I own with pretty tapes, especially my journal. I think I should do an inspiration post about washi tape... like different projects and ideas? What do you think?

So if you're doing your own drawing book already or if you just started one recently, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see it! PLEASE link me up because I love getting inspiration from other's drawing books!

Love to you all!

I've got the Doodle Bug

Today I'm going to share some sketchbook pages again! I've been told numerous times how much you all love to see peeks into my journal, so I thought I would share some recent ones. I always post them to my flickr but I sometimes forget that not everyone looks at my photostream, so yeah. haha Here are some recent pages from my journal that have been done primarily during class, in the car, or at the library. I hardly have time for anything but work and school, so getting to draw is quite the release and treat for me!

Most of my pages lately have been about falltime mostly because that's what's been inspiring me the most. Not pictured are a lots of lists relating to the wedding, to do lists, apartment, and ideas for my journal or blog. I love drawing the little versions of my people. They might be my favorite thing to draw because I love grabbing the personalities of them and putting them on paper.

If anyone has any questions about journaling, getting started, prompt ideas, or any supplies I use, Just leave it in the comments! Thanks for looking, lovelies!

Also, I've gained quite a few new readers lately, so if you're new here, SAY HI!

Florida Chronicles: Sketch Adventures

Greetings, everyone! I'm back with a peek into my sketchbook from Janel's 30 Day Journal Challenge! It's only been going on for 4 days, but I've had plenty of time to work on the prompts since I've been in Florida. They've been fun! I encourage all of you to join in! <3 Janel too. Cute girl!

Prompt #1: Design a full page introducing yourself.

Prompt #2: What is the best part of your day?

Prompt #3: Draw a person you love and write them a letter.
Prompt #4: What does your heart look like?

And here's just one for fun:

Oh and for your viewing pleasure, here is a video of me and my cousin Malinda being silly at my grandma's house in Alabama. haha She's such a nut but I love her. :)

NOTE: For some reason, my video got cut off on here, so if you want to watch it properly, just click on it and view it in youtube! Thanks!

That's all for now!
