in the mood

So the goal is to have all of my Christmas decor up in my room before I leave for Thanksgiving break on Tuesday. That way, when I get BACK, it will all be beautiful for me and it will be DONE!

I set up my tiny little Christmas tree last night! I found this little silver number at a thrift store with the tags still on and the light worked! It's SOOOO cute and doesn't need much decorating because it's already so festive!

I decided on teal and green for my tree this time. I like it. :] I found these plastic clip on peacock feathers at a craft store and thought they would make the PERFECT topper! I LOVE how it turned out! <3

tomorrow is saturday. and on said saturday, I plan to completely redo my room. :] I want to reorganize, sort, purge, and change out my decorations! On my list of things to do are:

*fix the bottom of my tree
*put out my Christmas trinkets on my shelves
*change out the pictures and message on my dry message board
*make some Holiday garland
*drape white twinkle lights over my headboard
*set out vintage bowl for candy canes and candies
*switch out my inspiration wire
*reorganize my desk area
*go through catalogs
*Clean out and reorganize my craft drawer
*do some deep cleaning things in the room
*sweep the floor
*maybe put up some sort of cutie decor in our bathroom because it's BORING in there

I'm searching for pretty inspiration online right now trying to find a few things that will work in my tiny little dorm room. Here are some of my findings:

+Katiecupcake's polaroid wire!

+soft trees

+a little wreath on my mirror.

+coat hanger cuteness.

+yarn and advent calendars!

Is anyone else struggling in a dorm room or studio apartment!? I feel like I'm the only one trying to spruce up a cement block white gross dorm room. :[ I need ideas that don't take up a lot of space! Hopefully after tomorrow everything will be looking so much brighter and cleaner in here!!! Let's hear it for us college kids!
