Paint me a Memory

This is a little late, but this is a painting that i made for the birth of my friend's baby. They painted her nursery brown and pink and they wanted some art for the walls. So I just sat down with a blank canvas and started painting. I wanted something whimsical and cute with her name on it, and I came up with this elephant inspired by some scrapbook paper scraps I had lying around. I really like the way it turned out and it's just FULL of whimsy! Luckily, the parents of the new baby loved it too and she wants a few more smaller companion paintings to go with it. I love making paintings for gifts because they're one of a kind, affordable, and originally unique!

This painting is too adorable! And it would look great w/some accent ones around it.. I couldn't get a close in view but did you use buttons for some of the flowers after you painted the flowers on?

so how much of your Christmas wish list did you get?? Gosh those saddle oxfords brought back memories of my high school days being on the drill team. I loved those shoes!
