Home Front//Part 3
Since I've been doing Spring Cleaning lately, I thought that I could FINALLY show off our bedroom as part of my long and on-going apartment blog tour. haha I have to say that our bedroom is my favorite room of our home which is a shame because it's in the back and not many people see it. haha But i just love the colors, the light that comes in, and it's just really comfortable and creative. :)
Our bedding is Liberty of London for Target. We snagged this bed set before they were gone back when we did our wedding registry last summer. We saved it for so long until we moved into our apartment together and I'm so glad we grabbed it when we did! It's the perfect balance of creative and not-too-girly.
The art above our bed are all originals by me. I made these especially to go into our bedroom and I love the way they turned out. The top one is a quote that I picked up somewhere that reads: "Being grounded can lead to something groundbreaking." The other two incorporate coordinating fabric and pretty colors!
I scored this blue chalkboard at a thrift store this past fall. I thought it was gorgeous.
I altered these lampshades from just basic black ones that my sister got us as a wedding shower gift. They stayed black for a long time and I just recently got the urge to spice them up a bit.
What's a pretty room without some pretty bunting?
I also have a little "vanity nook" built into the wall. It came with a built in mirror and vanity table that I love. I couldn't get a really good picture of the whole nook, but this is one of the walls that Ian put some nails in for pretty necklaces.
(That frame is being saved for a wedding picture coming soon! haha)
I hope you enjoyed taking a peek into our magical bedroom! If you have any questions about any of the DIY projects you see such as the bunting, lampshades, paintings, or anything else, just let me know! I'm so happy to finally share these pictures!
